Well I am back from my self imposed hiatus. I just had to get away from blogging for a while. Just didn’t have the energy to write much these days. Life has been good and I am happy. I am most likely going to move this blog to another site because the SPAM (I’m going to be cussing. FUCKING SPAMMERS GO TO HELL AND DIE!!) in the comments is getting to me. I think I either going to start from scartch once again or move it. Sometimes this month. : )

Well this blog will be mostly pics. Since it does help describes the weekend I had. All pics courtesy to Hiromi. She totally rocks for bringing her camera!

This is the club we were at.

This is probably the biggest club I been to. 5 stories high. But as you can see in the aerial view. It was a spectacular view from above. Enormous balloon drop and just a gorgeous surrounding. The countdown begins.

My friends. Starting of course with Hiromi. We had a wonderful time together. Even the taxis were on our side. It says good thing about our Karma! : D

This year Halloween is probably been my best one to date. Maybe because I had such great company this year. Hiromi and I hit two clubs this year and boy she is surely can party it up with the gay guys. My good gay friends had a blast with her and welcome her the group! I went as a Asian mercenary on Saturday and a recon assassin on Sunday while she was a gansta girl on Saturday and a good nun on Sunday. All I can say is that I adore her and her company and I know she will be going out with me to the big events this time around! Well since she wrote out what we did in her blog, I defer to her. : )

The current pics you see right now is from the dinner of my buddy Di, that pic is of me, Hiromi and Jen. We had a great steak dinner and went clubbing right after. ; )

Well going to train with my buddies for my NEXT upcoming half marathon. I am determine to beat my new time now. Wish me luck!

Today 6 of us that I am close with did the Nike Women’s Marathon today.

The weather was great and cool and it was surely a estrogen based event. 12542 people show up to this event, 920 being men. So just about 7% of us men showed up to this event. Yes, we got the guts to do a women majority event. But it was so much fun just doing a great race with so many great people in it.

It is fun and does me immensely proud to see all my friends completing the marathon in a great time, considering that this is their first half marathon. I was in disbelief that they all was done before 3 hours. It told me a lot about them, once they put their mind to it, they can achieved it. Now all of us have the finishers T-shirts and a Tiffany necklace (which I am going to give it to my sister.) to remember this event. Some of the girls are indicating that they will like to continue and hopefully we can all do the Bay to Breakers next year. : D After all that, I took some of the girls to brunch at an Irish places and I got to sit in a nice jacuzzi and relax the pain away.

I just ran yet another race and was very happy with the results. I ran the 9-11 10K race today and finish with a time of 47 mins. Which turns to be a 7 min 33 second pace!!! This is my fastest pace ever and glad to have survived with such a good time!!! Life must be treating me really well and I hope I can improve in the weeks come, I have two more races left and I want to end the year really strong.

Well going to sleep and I have to get up early for orientation tomorrow.

Well here I am alive and well. I am recovered from my blogathon event and I had such a blast. Today I have moved down 18 floors and sitting in my new area. A lot brighter and a lot more mellow down here. I almost miss the fast past-ness of the litigation floor. Almost…. *winks*. Today is a slow day for my new department so I am taking it easy right now. Best part of department? DUAL SCREEN MONITORS. It is so Ultra Cool. : ) Maybe I need to do that at home. I said maybe. Well off to do some more reading!

So my date with M went really well. He came by my place to pick me up. At first I was a bit apprehensive of having this date with him. The pictures that was available didn’t give me a good sense of who he was. But I found talking to him that there was a definate connection between both of us. Then getting into the car. I was quite relieve and happy that he look much better in person than in his picture. The first thing that got me was his blue eyes. He had such amazing blue eyes. But the best thing was there was definately a good connection between us. It came very early when we went to the Ferry Building to walk around and see what was there but there wasn’t none. So we decided to head over to the restaurant and hang out there. But then as we walk back to the car, we found out the car was going to be TOW if we didn’t get back in time. That would have been 3 strikes on my end!!! LOL Forunately, that didn’t happen.

We went to his reccomendation of this new Italian restaurant in SoMa and we were able to secured some seating at the bar. We started talking about our families and past loves and generally found him to be very engaging and easy to talk to. Dinner past quickly and we were heading back to the car. So he put his arms around my shoulder and a sense of good vibes came enveloped within. I really felt comfortable with this guy and sincerely do want to get to know him better. As he escorted me across the street and back into the car, I decided to make my intentions known about him. So once he got in. I gave him a kiss ; ) and he was glad that I was being assertive in what I wanted. We decided to spend a bit at a park near where I live and uhm……we made out some more. *blush* The chemistry is there and I am just wishing to get deeper to knowing this guy.

M and I are planning to go out again for dinner, movie and drinks tomorrow. I am looking forward to it and learning more about this guy. I am being hopeful and so far he is impressing me. I can only hope and learn at the moment.

Bad News: I lost my cell phone. Couldn’t happen at the worst possible time. I need to get one reactivated quick. *sigh*

Good News: I ran across Golden Gate Bridge and back home. 12.5 miles give a take a half mile. I couldn’t believe it. 4.5 months ago I would have laugh in your face that I can do it. Now. I can live without running. hehehe.

I started to collect these credit card offers on the last week of May to see how much of these freaking credit card offer I would get in one month. As you can see, there is a LOT. More than 60. What the in hell do they KEEP ON SENDING THESE THINGS TO ME. ARRRGHHHH. I hate getting them. I am tempted to open them and send those prepaid envelopes back to them just to get them back. Don’t you guys agreed with me. Waste of paper and waste of my time. I have to get a shredder now because it gotten so bad. BAH!!!

So my friends have been commenting on my legs these days. The constant running has made my legs looking rather good. My friends who went with me to Yosemite last week has commented me on the changes happening to me physically and they fully approved. But they have to drop that one nickname of “Chicken Legs” off their list now. hahaha.

Pearly’s wedding was also my first trip to New York City and New Jersey. Pearly and Johnny picked me up from the airport and dropped off my stuff at her friend’s place. I soon met Angeline who is a total sweetheart and a car fanatic. We soon left for her condo (which is totally by the way) to meet with her parents. Her parents are such nice people. They soon show me directions to get to downtown New York City so I can do some shopping and sightseeing. I manage to see Time Square, Empire State Building and Rockafeller Center. But my main two goals was H&M and Mexx. I got some fabulous clothes from there and quickly went back to New Jersey. The wedding cermony itself and cocktail hour and wedding dinner afterwards was stunning and beautiful

I met so many wonderful, wonderful people there. One of which is Angeline who I been reading for ages. She totally is one cool chick. Also realize that she has a thing for cars….fast cars…. Another person was Holly my fellow clubber and part of the 4aunties group. She really can put those moves on. Finally I can’t forget these new East Coaster Friends like Connie, Mavis and Freeman, Jeff and Christine (Christine is the girl, if I would straight would make such a cute couple together. hahahaha oh FABULOUS DANCER), these two couples are the two coolest couples that I got to hang out with. They all blog all about it and the stories all seems to start running together. So I rather refer you to their sites.

But all I got to say is that I had a wonderful time and it will be a trip I won’t forget for a long time. : )

Well lots of interesting things been happening for me which warrants a few updates

- It seems that once I tell people that I have been running that the first thing they do is grab my calves to confirm that I have been doing it. Apparently they been very impress with my legs and telling me to wear shorts from now on hahaha. Perverts. ; )

- I had a friend from Singapore who visited to me last week. Very cool guy and easy going. I took him shopping around town and it been pretty cool hanging out with him. Another friend of mines is coming in August, my dear godbro. So excited!

- C and I….well most likely we will be friends. He’s way too needy and it’s all about him, him, him. I thought it was best that I don’t put myself in a situation where it’s going to be one-sided. So I been putting some distance between us. : )

- My trip to New York City and New Jersey is coming up. I have the honor of walking Pearly’s mom down the aisle and doing the introduction at the banquet. Very excited as well. Lots of pictures will follow next week.

- I am doing two marathons now. Hiromi’s ex-boyfriend challenge me to do the San Francisco Marathon in July. He thinks I can’t do it. So I am NOT going to let someone issue a challenge to me and not do it. So Hiromi and I are both doing the first half of that marathon which will take place at 5:00AM in the morning. Yes we are nuts but I got something to prove to myself that I can do this.

- You can have lots of fun with a summer intern once you get stuck with him on the weekend. My new friend J is a summer intern who is working on a case with me. We spent today (a holiday) and yesterday working together to do finish off a case. He’s 19 and a very cool guy. Always make me laugh, we have so much to talk about and boy can he be wild kid. But then again who wasn’t wild at 19?

- Finally I am doing a goatee as you can see in the current pic. It’s slowly coming along. My look has been turning into sporty these days. Compare to the dress up GQ days. That’s a huge change.

- There are still good people left in this world. I lost my phone at the club Sunday and one of the girls that works there (who’s majorly cute by the way.) ask if she found it what I would I do. Of course I said I give her a big tip. She then produce it and told me she found it in one of the bathrooms. I gave her a 20 and a big hug. She saw how stress out I was and made sure I had it before I left. What a relief.

I have been training with Hiromi for the past two weeks and we both have been improving on our running times. Today we did almost 5 miles (8km) in 49 minutes. Compare to 2 miles at 50 minutes when we started 2 weeks ago, that is a vast improvement. I am going this Sunday to get some proper running shoes so my feet will be more equipped to deal with the stress. Also we both started running in a running group and that in part has gotten me to become more competitive and the much needed drive and focus to continue to improve. Once I finish this my goal is to do a half marathon in 2006. I do this to set goals for myself and it now slowly paying off.

Now this explains my lack of updates now. I find it hardly and hardly to blog these days. But with Blogathon coming up again soon. You will see me around more.

Well I noticed myself being more active with life agian. This including training for the Bay to Breakers, this is considered one of the biggest events we have around here. More than a 80,000 people on the streets of San Francisco running for a good cause. It is a 7.5 mile run and so far I am at almost 3 miles with my running buddy Hiromi, she has graciously agreed to being my running buddy and we both have started training for the event. It’s personally a good bonding time for us since we only seen each other when Mona is around and now there is a different dynamic in our relationship. We are both going to Vancouver to go backpacking with my gay best buddy Rob and his boyfriend Eric so this is a trip I am looking forward to. As for me I am getting back into shape!

So its finally official: I have no one else to share room with. My sister moved out and my brother move out a while back with their significant others. Though I hope to be moving soon as well within the next year or so. This is the first time in this family have been this seperate. It’s different but it time for us to move on with our lives. But my parents are getting older and they have come to expect that we will take care of them in old age. It easy to do that when you’re single but when you are trying to balance a relationship. It is going to be harder to achieve that level independence from your filial duties as the oldest son. But I digress.

I am so thankful in my life where your best gay friend (aka Rob) knows something is wrong with me by a greeting., not many people can see the off side in me but he did in one greeting. I don’t know how he knew but he did. I know my straight close friends are great and lovely. But Rob is the only person who I know can understand the gay side of me and trying to maintain that balance. He also understand loyalty like I do and family as well and very similar pasts. He’s an awesome buddy and I can’t wait to see him again in July. We’re going camping the the Great Canadian Wilderness!!! I wouldn’t trade him for anything in the world.

Ack With Chinese New Year activities and other activities literally monopolizing my times. All I have these days is to eat, sleep and work till your head is screaming for more time. Not that I am complaining. It is quite the opposite. I love it. 6 months of not working was not fun at all. Being non productive while wasting your time over nothing does majorly put a damper in things. Now that all my time is gone it has given me much more energy to complete the task at hand.

Few updates.

M and I had lunch yesterday before I head into work. We both were very happy to have some time for each other since both of us are so busy at the momenth. We both value our independence and we both understand each other really well.

Work for me has gotten way busier. I love my coworkers and in turn the trust level and respect for each other has each has in turn more responibilites and complexities in my duties. Totally love it.

I also got “Employee of Month” for January. The president and my recruiter along with the coordinator came to my cubicle at once and I thought I was in major trouble. I was struck dumbfounded for that honor because all I was doing was my job. It was such a great and humbling honor. That really put a smile for me for weeks.

This weekend I am going snowboarding and looking forward to that.

Last week the weather was totally gorgeous. There was a few days that I was actually in short sleeved and to be able to say that in February is a rarity in itself.

There is so much to be done the week before Chinese New Year on top of what is going on with my family these days that it is causing a lot of stress these days. Tensions are running high and communication is on the low side of things. But hopefully when the new year comes. We will start anew and refocus our energy. I for one am doing that and going to be more postive about the situation from now on. I won’t be stress out with family stuff anymore.

It also seems that everyone is dating these day. Including one of my closest friend. After 26 years she finally has a boyfriend and to say that in the same sentence is taking some time to get use to. I am happy for all my friends and maybe the fact that it is running very close to Valentines day!!! Hahaha.

So as some of you guys know.

I am going to be an uncle.

My sister is pregeant at 18. ETA date in September.

Words can’t really be put in words the amount of feelings that has been going through these past months.

The talks with my sister telling me the first time when she confided in me.

The decisions whether to have it or not.

The telling of our parents.

The anger…..the joys…..the hopes……the regrets………

Even though she is the one having this baby. The proverbial saying: “It takes a villages to raise the baby.”

That is very true in this case. I admired the fact the boyfriend is taking responbility of this child. He’s 19. But we all talk to both of them to help them weigh in their decision. My sister life will be put on hold for a year. Her schooling and dreams. But she is an adult, albeit a young and innocent 18 year old. Who hasn’t see the world that my brother and I seen it. We try to put things in preceptive but in vain. The stubborn gene is very strong in this family (with the exception of myself.)

How does being an uncle of my sister’s child feel to me at this time. Intially I was joyful but it quickly turn to uncertainties for me right now. I should be happy but yet I am not. I feel that my sister is not the same sister a few months back. I sensed the confrontations, the helplessness, even the uncertainties as well. I wish she can confine in me but I can’t forced it out of her.

Being neutral sucks. But I know my feelings will change when my niece or nephew is born. I am not harboring bitterness or sadness, just a lot of uncertainties of a bunch of new emotions that recently has surfaced.

Remember M from back in July/June? and how we ended things??. Well last Saturday I ran into him at the clubs and he was glad to see me and I was glad to see him. Gosh seeing him flooded back the good feelings I had for him. He and I talk briefly and we both have apologize on how we have acted to each other that night. I got back his number and call him the next day. HE CALL ME BACK!!! We decided to spend some together tonight (along with the merlot I bought for him.) and talk things out about on all the mistunderstandings that we have for each other. I was so glad that we did because it help me put preceptive into the feelings that I had for him. We both decided to forgive and forget and start slowly and dating again. We’re not a couple just yet because we don’t want to rush into anything. It’s only fair. But the chemistry is still definately there. We both have confess that the chemistry with other guys we dated weren’t the same. This is a new year and we’ll see where it goes. Have a great weekend all.

Alright, alright I know I haven’t been writing. But for good reasons. I been hauling myself off the computer with the exception of forum posting and job hunting. This month I made a lot of resolve to get my goals of 2005 in place and get myself back into shape for the new year. I started my resolutions a bit earlier and I look forward to be ahead of the pack.

I am practicing a bit of my chinese on my jounral. I currently have NJStar. So I am very happy that I can type it out.

Funny after years of bickering from my parents to get our education in Chinese. We use to whine and moan about how boring it was and how useless it is in the future. Hate it when my parents were right about these things. My Chinese have save me in many situations and also knowing how to read and write it makes it all the better in my life. Being the only one in my group to completely understand the menu and getting the services that Chinese speakers get makes all the difference in the world. It quite sad that America tends to focus on only one languages while there is such a huge melting pot of cultures in this nation. People forget that and even worse fear learning something new.

By the way. Happy Birthday Ricebowljournals. 4 years old and I been with them for 3 of them. My life have been filled with the knowledge of a community who genuninely cares about each other and even though a lot of us are miles apart. The sense of community is very evident. No other community has what we have and very thankful of all the friends I made.

Doro knows me so well. One of my best freind took me out to give me her souveniors she bought for me while she was in New York City and one look at me, she knew something was wrong. She noticed that I am way more mellow than usual and looks more paler and maybe lost some weight. Maybe I have but I don’t take notice these things. Both of us talk about our job search and our goals for the new years. Both of us are resolved in taking the upcoming tests to improve our future and get out of that mundane funk hahaha. Sometimes it best when you have someone you can do this with. : D

Iris Chang, a best-selling author who chronicled the Japanese occupation of China and the history of Chinese immigrants in the United States, was found dead in her car of a self-inflicted gunshot, authorities said Wednesday. She was 36.

I been asked by Yellowworld to write about her. This is what I am going submit:

Iris Chang was one of those rare gifted writers who can paint a scene of past historical events to a generation who is trying to rediscovered their roots or just simply to learn more in depth of what the Chinese people have gone through in history. Two of her books : The Rape of Nanking and The Chinese in America dealt with two specifics points of history that tend to be overlooked.

In the international bestsellerThe Rape of Nanking The book deals with atrocities of what the Chinese endure and went through when the Japanese invaded China in the 1930s, Chang vividly can weave the images into our minds on what the Japanese imperial soldiers did in the name of the Emperor and their nation. Chang also can evoked such emotions with her writing that you can feelt actually being placed into that era witnessing those events as if you were there. In these modern times, even with all the witness and survivors accounts, asking a Japanese person of those events will either resulting of lack of knowledge of the subject or rejection of the incident ever happening; asking a Chinese person the same incident will result in such fury and anger to general disdain of the subject. Chang left us one of the best reference accounts to the Rape of Nanking, giving the modern Chinese generation as well of the rest of the world a point of history that rivals the Nazis’ concentration camps during World War II.

The Chinese in America gives us a uniquely interesting point of view of Chinese in American history. Most textbooks and books will hardly go into such details that Chang written about the Chinese and Asian American. Giving us accounts of what early Chinese American have endured in terms of racism in the 19th and early 20th centuries as well as championing various accomplishments and truimphs to what our Chinese forefathers have set for us, many of which is taken forgranted by the younger generations today. Chang writes this book in such a way that keeps the readers engaged while on the other hand filling in the empty spots on history that we haven’t learned about.

I am sadden by her sudden tragic passing but yet wanting to leave her my thanks and gratitude for this author. Chang left me impacted on how much I have taken forgranted living here in the United States and striving myself to try passing our history down to future generations; making sure that future generations realized how much scarafices have been made to get us the same rights that we now often take forgranted. Chang opened up my eyes to the realities of societies and their past. I hope for those who haven’t had a chance to read her books yet. I encourage you to picked up her books and see how Chang have contributed to my understandings on how history should leave an impact on you: with you striving to learning more.

So my friend M and I were talking on MSN messenger with him raving about a cute asian guy that I should meet at this bar…..at 11:30pm at night. His friend was going to pick up at 11:15pm. And I was already in my PJs already. He accuse me of not being spontantenous and potentially meeting the guy of my dreams. So I said fine I would go and changed amd I did do just that and went out. Unforunately when I met the guy. He wasn’t my type but I am always up to making new friends. So he bought us drinks and by the second drink my dear friend M was plan ol’ drunk while he was being adamant of being only “buzzed”. He kept dancing with various guys and kept on pushing me and his friend together to dance body to body which I didn’t care for. Finally it was his time to get all horny on us and tries to pick up on one of the guys he like. Me being the ever good babysitter decides to haul him out before he makes a total fool of himself. The next day we talk on MSN to recap on what happens: I didn’t paint a pretty picture for him and now he’s all embrasses. Lessoned of the day? It not good to be messy drunk on a Monday night.

Today my mom ask me to tell a lied and take a blame on a miscommuncation of what happen between me and my cousin from Malaysia. My mom and been on the gossipy and foul mood over various conversations that happen that she didn’t get the whole story to and I am being forced to fabricate an incident that never happen. There is too many people involved and she fails to understand my point of view. I really hate when that happens.

I know I been missing but all within good reason. Packed weekends with friends in town has considerably drained my time to blog and refocusing my energy to more active things. Besides, when I was in my depression mood. I was staring at the computer screen way too much. It was my chance to get some fresh air which I have been doing as of lates.

But here are some updates:

- I visited T in Sacremento. The visit with him made me get to know him better but unforunately what I learned about him made me reaccessed him on the type of person he was. We did spend some time talking but I don’t think his friends care too much about a non Vietnamese guy for him. They constantly spoke Viet around me and unlike my friends who all of us will translate what we say back into English for the non native speakers. They don’t and I felt like an outsider for the duration of the visit. There are other factors as well but that was one major point that made me think twice on pursuing a relationship with T. He’s a great guy but I don’t think he’s right for me. But my ride up there was spectacular. Some of those pics can be found over here.

- My sister turn 18 this last weekend. Funny to think that my sister now a full feldge adult. I remember holding her in my arms when she was born. Now she a strong sassy short tempered young lady who can stand her own ground. Funny how time flies without you noticing it.

- I did vote today. No way in hell will I would have not voted. Voting is important to me even though people say their vote won’t count. People have die to get what we take forgranted. Terrrible.

- These are my friends Stefan and Christian. Both are guys from Austria. Stefan have recently relocated here and I am going to help him job hunt and see what is out there. Me and Stefan talk pretty easily and have some general grounds on the people that we are and I know some of you guys think Christian is really cute. But looks can be decieving and I won’t be giving in to a cute face that easisly. I seen first hand on his charm and forunately for me. His charm will (and have) be wasted on me and for you guys with perverted minds: No we are NOT EVER going to sleep together. Just going to clarify that.

- I feel lucky this month. Don’t know why but I feel that Lady Luck is finally on my side.

- I been forced to closed all my comments to my current entries only because now they found a way to spam using my own IP address and deleting them has been a pain in the butt. ARRGGGH.

So I feel like my spirits have been renewed and flowing with creavity once again. T and I have been talking on the phone last night getting to know each other better. Funny I didn’t miss having someone to look forward to until last night. It was great learning about each other. This is what I found out so far:

He grew up in Southern California and moved to Sacremento to be with his then ex-bf a few years back.
He likes Asian food, isn’t too fond of European and American food.
He doesn’t have a COMPUTER. (Says that chatting is a waste of time and addictive.) (Me: So that a downer since I am the techie.)
He’s a chocoholic (Yay!)
He’s been clubbing every weekend and going to stop doing that once Halloween is over.
He just sent me an email. (grins)

That all I want to reveal as of right now. We already have talk about plans for the weekend and I am actually looking forward to it. I only told some of my friends of my friends about him and they are excited for me. Maybe this is a sign that things are finally going in my direction now. I can only hope.

On a side note. Last night we had a thunderstorm and lying in my bed I heard the most LOUDEST thunderclap in my life. It truly sounded like a bomb going off. Mind you we don’t get thunderstorms that often and for the one we experience last night it was truly powerful one. One that I won’t forget for a little while.

But I am having tons of fun with them. It so nice to hear firsthand what going on on their lives NOT by telephone or IMing.

Nothing much is happening these day. Life have been pretty month been dull and mundane except when my friends visit.

Scenario on Saturday:

Okay I haven’t been blogging because I been pretty active these days. Meeting quite a lot of new people these days and it been full of fun activities.

Just because I am being lazy. Mona has posted the rest of the pics and play by play of the RBJ meetup that we had on Tuesday. I had a blast with all the people there. But at the current moment, I am filling out major application form for yet another recruiter right now I am meeting with tomorrow.

I can die a happy man now.

Well this is the only time I will give this much props to a music group. For I adore this group to bits and I vowed that I see this group in concert live before I die. This is one of the few groups that I have that I own ALL of their original cds and remember this is the MP3 era age. This is the concert I anticipated more than the Madonna’s one I went to.

Me, Mona and Raven got to see Bond live today at Bimbo’s 365 club. For those who doesn’t know about Bond, Bond is an all girl neo classical group. 2 violins, viola and cello player but all of their instruments are electronic base. All of them HOT LEGGY females. (Yes you heard right and yes I am pretty sure I am gay. ) We also got to check out the venue which reminded me of a a very classy burlesque house. Very Scarlet in color. The opening act was this guy name Joshua Payne, some nice dude from the “mountains of Arkansas” which put Mona in a yawning frenzy and me and Raven in our rolling eye frenzy, he was okay but I wasn’t expecting this guy at all, we all struggle to keep awake. As Raven put it: Michael Boltonish!!! Bah.

But once Bond got started with their music. I was pretty much memorized for the duration of their music playing. What impressed me even further is when they did a set with them on the traditional instruments. They played with such piazzez and flair that all you can do is close your eyes and enjoyed their playing. Raven and Mona haven’t heard of them before but they really enjoyed the concert. 2 whole hours of blissful music. San Francisco was their last stop of their national tour and they also complimented on how they love this city and our lovely hills. ehehhehe. They also got the audience hooting it up when they told their friends that the venues they were playing was call BIMBOS. The other good part was this old guy in the front row. BOPPING and jumping his head off. Gee I wonder why….

All in all. I am just happy that I got to see my favorite group play here in SF. Thanks Mona and Raven for coming with me.

This is the result of the shoot that I did for Mona’s Quarterlife Crisis project. The pics of that project came out to be great with great interpertation of men that are going through quarterlife crisis. I don’t like my mug shot in the gallery. But its all good. I always love doing these project with Mona. Her artistry has improved so much and her creativity and imagination has matured as well. Pssst Mona……its 2 times not 3 times. LOL.

I blame my fellow Malaysian friend for sending me the orginal link to the site. I don’t know how I got even more caught up with the available mpegs to follow with the contestants on what going on. It doesn’t have the glitz and galmour of the American one but it is a good way to fill in my time to follow whats going on the other side of the Pacific ocean.

The event planning group and fundraising sat at Min Jung and Jane’s new apartment discussing how to raised 45K in 4 months. Our game plans. Do as many house parties as possible so Jane can meet as many people so they will know who she is. But the kicker is that one of the supervisor Matt Gonzalez came into the apartment and had strawberries with the rest of us and talking to us to how to raise money.

The politcal process rocks in San Francisco.

Oh by the way. Here is a pic of me and my sis at her graduation last month. : )

We must not ever forget the masscre that happen on June, 4th 1989 at Tiananmen Square, China where people were killed for speaking thier minds against the government. We sat here thousands of miles away to watch in horror as the Chinese government slaughtering innocent poor souls, most of the college students who fought for their basic rights to speak their minds and a change in the government. We sit there in front of the television watching these student fight for the freedoms that we take forgranted here in the United States.

While walking home on this hot night. I saw an old neighbor who use to live next door visiting his brother who occupied his old living space. Seeing him and the weather where this story came from.

One night on the Fourth of July about 4 years back, it was almost 9pm where my brother and sister would make our yearly trek up to the top of the roof to wait to see the fireworks because we have a clear view of the bay from where we live and from the bay they would set off the fireworks weather from afar. While we were idling the time away about talking about the unbearable here. We saw our neighbor out of the his window……BUCK NAKED….. All three of us saw it and my brother and I instictly covered our poor stunned sister’s eyes. My poor sister never seen a naked person till we saw our neighbor. My brother and I quickly averted our gazes from him but we both notice for a BIG “football” guy….he has a tiny “package” LOL. Whoever says Big things come with small packages is absolutely correct. We never have look at our old neighbor the same ever since.

Sometimes life just needs to slow down just a bit for you to realize its infinate beauty, even in the urban streets and even especially so like the streets in Chinatown, America’s second most densely populated district.

Last night while walking home after dinner with my friend Eldam and his friend in Chinatown. The streets I was walking on was deserted. For 3 blocks, for 2 minutes there was no people along the streets, no cars that zoomed by, no yelling, no talking, just pure silence on the main merchant street I was walking; no buses passing by, no old ladies yelling, no drunkard yelling profanity. A gentle breeze picked up a bit of speed and you just stand still, looking into the clear dark sky and

just smile for life just picked the right moment just to remind you, that you a lot to live for.

Okay I do have a slightly funny story today. You know the saying how all of us look alike. Well my office manager manage to get my co worker and I totally reverse today. Let me describe my coworker A to you. A is a early 40’s 5′5 Filipino Hawaiian man and you guys know how I look like.

Scenario:

Lunchroom

My coworker W and I are eating in the lunch room.

[Chatting away]

(Office manager walks in}

OM: A. You know that those files were to do for so and so………

(realize that the asian guy wasn’t A}

(makes quick recovery}

Oh Chris you know you will be in charge of the handling the file move for the war room right?

Me: Yes I know, I was just waiting on order from so and so to move those files.)

Coworker W: (trying hard not to laugh)

OM makes quick exit.

Both of us snickers…..

Okay I know we goof us once in a while we were in a hurry but imagine trying to keep a straight face to not to laugh.

Jury duty was painless . I realize some of you guys don’t know what jury duty is. US government requires trials by their peers. So we are chosen at random to serve if you are a US citizen. It was nice to get away for a bit and have some time to myself on a weekday. Since I am saving all my vacation time at the moment for next year trip. I have no holidays for myself except for public ones. Small scarifice but one that I wanted to do.

For the people not in the Bay Area. Our summer days has come at the end of winter. While most the country is dealing with the cold and the snow. We are dealing putting on sunscreen and enjoying the sun. Everyone is enjoying the sun as much as we can as we know this won’t be lasting too long. But this unusual warm pattern has driven away the winter blues and enjoying this rather unique rites of spring.

I went to the farmers’ market for lunch and here was some of the pictures that I took while I was there. Let just say some rather unique people were out that day.

Sometimes I feel that I stretch myself way too thin. Planning and replanning events just so I can accomdate everyone. I gotten so busy that I have gotten certain dates mess up lately. That bad, that means I have neglecting the most important person in this world…..myself.

I notice I been looking a little more haggard these day, allegries are constantly with me and my work load has grown a lot in the past few weeks. All this is good news to me as I am so very glad I am working and that is the less of my worries. But I do miss my days of leisure time and planning activities on the whim. But c’est la vie.

The great move happened over this past weekend at my law firm. About 75% of the firm will be moving into new offices. But there must be over a thousand boxes around the office. I am glad that I won’t be moving offices……yet……….

It turns out that one of the senior paralegals are leaving the firm and I got word of another one leaving very soon. So that means there are fewers of us around…..and base on seniority of the paralegals. Also one of the paralegal goes on maternity leave this week and another paralegal got chosen to be on a jury for a MONTH. Tha means a lot more work and stress but on the good note, there will be bigger paralegals’ offices opening up very soon…….judging on the my current cases and some impending new ones coming soon. I need the extra space….hehehehe.

Speaking of jury duty……….guess who got summon on April 5th……me……..*sob*

Well I just came home from the Vienna Teng concert. The place can easily fit a thousand people and it was pack solid. Quite a change from over a year ago. When she was just starting out and we had just started listening to her. Now getting her autograph took more than half a hour to get her. She was very patient and sign all of her cases. Now both of my album are autograph by her.

I met up with Janice at the Bart station so we can head over there together, but before that we both went into Chinatown to get some hot and sour soup. Janice is one cool person in person. She’s friendly and easy to get along with, it just funny that we talk to each other online and then we finally get to meet each other in person. After we were done we hopped on the bus and guess who I runned into….. Guppieluv. She was heading to the concert with her friends as well. It also funny that we lives within blocks of each other and we only met up like 3 times. So we went together. Some of my freinds have already enter while we waited on Janice’s friend with the tickets. But I let her tell that part of the story. With the wait, I met up with Mona and Raven and a little bit later, Cat and Will. The downside to all of this that they couldn’t save enough seats for all of us to sit together. So the whole group was scatter throughout the place. There was an opening act by someone who I have forgotten but she sang very well in the first hour, great voice but too hippy for my taste.

Then Vienna came out, we were memerized with songs from her new album, like Mission Street, Harbor, Hope on Fire and my favorite her hidden track of an old Taiwanese folk song, The Green Island Seranade. We also got to see Eric Cheng on the cello for a few songs. After the concert we all waited in line to get her autograph. We were able to meet up with a few more RBJers and got to talk to Adam Tow and Eric for a bit. It was very nice to finally be able to catch up with Eric after not seeing him for almost a year. We also got in for a group pics which will follow in the entry. I won’t write too much about it since there will be oh another 10 entries of this.

The night before I went clubbing with my buddies of mines. We of course had fun going out as a group, but last night there was a few guys who I got the attention of because of my dancing and wanted to battle with me. Battling is basically a dance off and I have never done one of those before in my life………and I got three that night from 3 different guys. I didn’t do as well as they did. But for them to ask me to step up the plate was quite an honor and I had fun doing it. I also got tons of a compliments on my hip hop dancing from various people that night. That is something I am really proud of at the moment. Considering I had 2 left feet 4 years ago. hehehe.

This week is practically the week of hell for me. I come home everyday dead tired and wondering when will I see the end of the tunnel. Working in multiple departments is slowly taken a toll on me and along with people being sick with the showers that has been going on this week. I feel that I am not that far behind. Give me the strength to survive tomorrow. For I will go insane if I don’t.

On a good note. This Sunday will be two cool events. My coworker forward me a same sex Argentine Tango class which I am looking forward too and the Vienna Teng concert.

View From Outside

Well today was a gorgeous day today. Crystal clear blue skies and mild weather. Such weather like this reminded me why I am not in the East Coast dealing with the bitter cold and misery and that is something I am thankful for.

Work was very hectic with me. Lots of various different work to do and we as a team are handling it well but it still stressful nevertheless.

Talk briefly with D last night. He’s the guy who I had a first date with. First date went relatively well. I am hopeful that we are progressing in the right direction. I hope.

I also renamed this blog to Rebirth since I felt this is a rebirth of who I am and always evolving me.

I also got into a slight arguement with my dad about his insurance stuff which I don’t know what happen with him on that.

I still have much to write about what has happen in the past two weeks. But I am heading off to class and will have to play catch up with all you guys later.
